Black History Month Bursary
The Black History Month (BHM) African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) Bursary was established to support students from the ACB community during their studies at NorQuest College. The Black History Month Working Group at NorQuest College creates and runs various events throughout the month of February, which is recognized as Black History Month in Canada and is a time to honor the contributions of the ACB community. This $500 bursary is made possible through fundraising events such as the Black History Month Marketplace, which showcases the work of ACB artists, businesses, and non-profit organizations in and around the Edmonton area. Proceeds from these events directly fund the bursary and support student learning.
